Main difference is after makeResultEntry the text_t content is removed and alternative title/url strings for display are calculated.
Main difference left is, that
to support the new time parser and search functions in YaCy a high
precision detection of date and time on the day is necessary. That
requires that the time zone of the document content and the time zone of
the user, doing a search, is detected. The time zone of the search
request is done automatically using the browsers time zone offset which
is delivered to the search request automatically and invisible to the
user. The time zone for the content of web pages cannot be detected
automatically and must be an attribute of crawl starts. The advanced
crawl start now provides an input field to set the time zone in minutes
as an offset number. All parsers must get a time zone offset passed, so
this required the change of the parser java api. A lot of other changes
had been made which corrects the wrong handling of dates in YaCy which
was to add a correction based on the time zone of the server. Now no
correction is added and all dates in YaCy are UTC/GMT time zone, a
normalized time zone for all peers.
This is the first element of a new 'decoration' component which may hold
switches for different external appearance parameters.
The first switch in that context is decoration.audio (as usual in
yacy.init). This value is set to false by default, that means the audio
feedback element is switched off by default. To switch it on, set
decoration.audio = true (using /ConfigProperties_p.html). You will then
hear sounds for the following events:
- remote searches
- incoming dht transmissions
- new documents from the crawler
Sound clips are stored in htroot/env/soundclips/ which is done so
because a future implementation will read these files using the http
client and with configurable urls which will make it very easy for the
user to replace the given sounds with own sounds.
The collection field (can be filled i.e. in Crawl Start) can be used to
add categories to YaCy index entries. The usage of that field was
restricted to solr searches and post argument filters as implemented in
commit f7571386a3.
This commit extends collections to a full navigation option in the
standard YaCy search interface. The field is not active by default but
can be activated easily in the /ConfigSearchPage_p.html servlet (just
check the 'Collection' facet field). Collections can now be used for (at
least) two purposes:
- to provide search tenants (through post argument collection)
- to provide self-made category navigation
Search requests may now have (independently from switched on or off
collection facet) a "collection:<collection-name>" modifier attached;
firthermore collection names may use disjunctions using the '|' pipe
symbol. For example, this is a valid search request:

- all non-dht targets (previously separated into 'robinson' for dht-like
queries and 'node' for solr queries) are non 'extra' peers, which are
queries using solr
- these extra-peers are now selected using a ranking on last-seen,
peer-tag-matches, node-peer flags, peer age, and link count. The ranking
is done using a weight and a random factor.
- the number of extra peers is 50% of the dht peers
- the dht peers now exclude too young peers to prevent bad results
during strong growth of the network
- the number of dht peers (and therefore extra-peers) is reduced when
the memory of the peer is low and/or some documents still appear in the
indexing-queue. This shall prevent a peer from deadlocks when p2p
queries are made in a fast sequence on weak hardware.

To activate this, the search.navigation property in yacy.conf must be
modified to the new default values.
- replaced load failure logging by information which is stored in Solr
- fixed a bug with crawling of feeds: added must-match pattern
application to feed urls to filter out such urls which shall not be in a

memory

jdk-based logger tend to block
at java.util.logging.Logger.log(Logger.java:476) in concurrent
environments. This makes logging a main performance issue. To overcome
this problem, this is a add-on to jdk logging to put log entries on a
concurrent message queue and log the messages one by one using a
separate process.
- FTPClient uses the concurrent logging instead of the log4j logger
- removed 'worker' processes
- no internal time-out behaviour: methods either are successful or
return null
- waiting is only done on top-level
- removed snippet-production; this is replaced by solr snippets
- removed statistics based on solr size queries (they had been VERY
long); the statistics (like suggestions or tag cloud) are now again
based on the old but very fast RWI index. In portal or intranet mode the
RWI index is usually switched off; if you like to have statistics again
then you must switch on the rwis again in this mode.

Solr search interface in such way that it is possible to use this
interface for the yacyinteractive search. This search interface is now
much faster using the Solr search directly. For the Solr interface it
was necessary to create a translation from the YaCy search modifiers to
the Solr facet selection. This was added in such a way that it becomes
generic for the normal YaCy search and as a on-top evaluation for Solr
queries.

The feature was not called 'haslink' but called 'inlink' to have a
analogous naming like 'inurl'. This causes now that you can search for
words in links of the document, like:
* inlink:yacy
searches all documents which link to pages which have an 'yacy' in the
url.
- added additional config page (ConfigSearchPage_p) for easy setup of search page layout (to not overload ConfigPortal page)

introduce a copy-field for the author field to be copied to a string
field. This field is then used to generate facets. Without this field,
the facet would consist only of the words of the author names, not of
the full author string.
This uses an enhanced version of the Nutch/Solr TextProfileSignatue.
As a result, a signature of the document is written to the solr search
index. Additionally for each time when a signature is written, it is
checked if the singature exists already in the index. If the signature
does not exist, the document is marked as unique. The unique attribute
can now be used to sort document lists and bring duplicates to the end
of a result list.
To enable this, a large portion of the search api to Solr had to be
changed. This affected mainly caching of 'exists' searches to enhance
the check for existing signatures and do this without actually doing a
solr query.
Because here the first time a long number is used as value in the Solr
store, also the value naming in the YaCySchema had to be adopted and
normalized. This caused that many files had to be changed.
